What does Dunamis mean? The Greek Dunamis is used 120 times in the New Testament. Loosely, the word refers to “strength, power, or ability.” It is the root word of our English words dynamite, dynamo and dynamic. As well, it means manifested inherent power to perform miracles, which refers to the power of God.
We are passionate youth that desire to follow God and do His will, without fear, at all costs. Everything we set out to do is to bring glory to God. We don't seek fame or glory, as the only one who deserves all honor and glory is God alone. He is the only one who give us that energy, that spark and the motivation to make a difference in our midst, in our city, at our workplace, in our friends, our neighbors and in our family.
How did Eliseo begin? It all began by a dream given by God with the purpose to reach out to the youth in need that don't know of God. As well it would be a way to restore the body of Christ in Winnipeg. As the Church of Christ we are called to work in unity to build the kingdom of God, so that we can see Him move in supernatural ways, do great things in our city and see lives changed by His power.
Acts 1:8But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Not for a moment do we doubt & believe that:
• God will do great things
• All barriers and indifference will be broken
• There will be an awakening and revival
• We will be renewed to make a difference / impact in this city
• We will become a united body of Christ, with one Spirit and being like-minded.
• Lives will be reached
• We will see miracles, healing and what no eye has seen.
May our challenge be to grow spiritually everyday in God's way,
and be filled by God, to be a blessing and light to those in darkness.
Remember that God's Kingdom "God's family" there is room for all! There's a spot especially for you and God wants to bless you!
